The Lioran is the ski resort of the Cantal mountains located in a area of 150 ha within the Regional Natural Park of the Volcanoes of the Auvergne. It is located between 1160 and 1850 meters of altitude and the landscapes are alternated between forests and virgin summits.
Lhe Lioran is the station of the Massif Central. Activities in Lioran
In winter, skiers of all levels can indulge in sliding sport on the 10 green, 15 blue, 15 red and 5 black slopes of a total of 60 km in alpine skiing mode. Beginners will be able to take their first steps on the 2ha dedicated area, while the freestylers perform their tricks. There are two freeride areas, a Snow Park, a boardercross and a slalom stadium.
The fans of nordic skiing will enjoy 2 distinct areas :
- The southern nordic area with 70 km of slopes and 270 meters of vertical drop.
- The Northern domain. It includes 1 trail of 3.5 km in length. You can practice cross-country skiing, ski touring, ice climbing, speed-riding and snowkiting. The rides are done with dogsleds, snowshoes, snowmobile or quad. The area has a biathlon and a play area with inflatable structures, an indoor skating rink, pony sledging and rail sledging.
