The Mont-Lozère (highest point of the Cevennes) offers beautiful landscapes for the practice of many activities in all seasons: hiking, mountain biking and skiing in summer; snowshoeing, skiing and sledding in winter… Auvergne (07) : Saint-Cyr-sur-Durance, the resort of Bleymard Mont-Lozère offers snowshoeing trails, a vast relaxation area and ski lifts. La Fer à Cheval/Nasbinals, located 7 km north of Le Bleymard, offers seven ski runs in real conditions. A real paradise for nature lovers in the heart of the Parc National des Cévennes.

The typical village of Nasbinals invites you to discover the small ski resort of Fer à Cheval on the Lozère side of the Aubrac. It is located at an altitude of 1200 m and offers a small family alpine domain (a single ski lift serving three slopes) as well as vast properties and a unique site off the beaten track where you can practice Nordic skiing with snowshoes or hiking nordic. You can also go directly from this station to Saint-Chély-d’Apcher, by car or by draisine. You will be able to do Nordic hiking and snowshoeing on the cross-country ski trails (about 31km), as well as two fitness centers less than an hour from the center (La Chaldette and the Spa en Aubrac in Saint-Chély-d’Apcher).

Ski resort Bleymard/Mont Lozère

The ski resort of Mont Lozère, located at a few posts of the commune of Bleymard of Lozère, attracts beginners and intermediate skiers who enjoy the pleasures of an easy and natural area.

The Bleymard is one of the few winter sports sites in the Occitanie region and the South-East sector of the Massif Central. Leaning against the hilly slopes of the Pic de Finiels, summit of the Monts Lozères which, from its 1699 m of altitude, is the highest point of the Cevennes National Park, the resort of Bleymard – Mont Lozère offers to explore 7 alpine slopes traced in gentle slopes from 1400 m to 1575 m of altitude.

For the greatest pleasure of the children, a path secure and dedicated to the ice dance is at your disposal. At the foot of the snow, there is a secure track dedicated to the indestructible exercise of sledding. The Touril 2 ski lift also allows practitioners and their sails to go up to the top of the domain for breathtaking aerial gliding sensations (no equipment rental on site, but a local club, the Team Moz’Air Snow Kite, offers tests and outings).

Most of the amenities essential for a snowy day or stay are represented, including an out-of-touch room with fast food and a solarium, as well as a ski equipment store and two independent ski instructors (more signs to be discovered in the village of Le Bleymard, only 7 minutes away by transportation).

Three hotel-restaurants located at the foot of the slopes offer rooms/gites with breathtaking views of the Monts Lozères and offer their guests the opportunity to discover regional specialties.

Bleymard Mont Lozère ski area

– The alpine ski area

Le Bleymard – Mont Lozère offers a softly covered mid-mountain ski area with ideal conditions for beginners and intermediate skiers.

The domain with its 175 m vertical drop is spread over 7 slopes (one black, 3 red, one blue and two green) located between 1400 m from the snow front and 1575 m from the peaks. The area has 5 ski lifts for the 185 m of accessible vertical drop.

Le Bleymard offers a wide and accessible ski area, just like the hilly terrain of the place. However, professional skiers can enjoy the short (600 m) but dynamic black run of L’Estaragnas as well as 3 red runs including the beautiful Prat Nau. Beginners can learn the basics on the 2 green runs before starting on the superb blue run of Tourril.

The little plus of the terrain: the extraordinary view of the Cevennes from the top of the ski slopes at the arrival of the Tourril 2 ski lift.

– Cross-country skiing and Nordic activities at Bleymard Mont Lozère

At the foot of the Finiels pass, at an altitude of 1541 m (and 4 km from the resort), you will find all the chalets with 5 classic and skating trails to venture into the heart of the magnificent landscapes of the Monts Lozères. The complementary nature of the levels allows all skiers to go on an adventure in the Cevennes forest. On the menu 5 tracks composed of 2 red (Le col – 5 km), 2 blue (Les Nasses – 2,9 km) and 1 green (Le Col Plat – 3 km).

Two itineraries (1 red of 5 km and 1 blue of 2.5 km) and cross-country skiing are offered as part of the Nordic activities, as well as the opportunity to discover the wonderful corners of the national park.
