Le Collet d’Allevard, old communal pastures

Created in 1955, the Collet d’Allevard is a winter sports resort in the Alps. It is located on former communal pastures which were used as as pastures which were reserved for the herds in summer. Located in the French department of Isère in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, the ski area extends over the commune ofAllevard and that of the Chapelle du Bard, approximately 11,5 km from Allevard-les-Bains and 51 km from Grenoble by the highway by the A41.

A station at 1450m altitude

Located at 1450 m of altitude with a balcony location, Le Collet d’Allevard offers a view on the Mont-Blanc, the peaks surrounding the Lake Bourget and the Bauges massif.

The Collet of Allevard is one of the largest night skiing areas in Europe, with no less than 10 lighted slopes allowing to ski on the summits. The slopes can be skied from the top of the resort at 2100 m to the bottom at 1450 m. This original activity is available every Fridays of the winter season.

In all, the ski area has 27 slopes (3 black, 10 red, 8 blue, 7 green) and 10 lifts (6 ski lifts and 4 chairlifts). Perched on the Belle massif,this alpine ski area offers an impressive view of the Vercors, Chartreuse, and Bauges .
